Hout Bay · One-day clinic with Ray
Relaxation sits at the base of the training scale, and most horses have it at home. Resilience is how your horse keeps it: at a show, on a windy day, when it matters. One day with Ray, for every level, in an indoor arena.
Saturday · 8 for 8:30, until 4
Malorix Stables, Hout Bay · indoor arena
3 of 6 riding places left
Six riders and fifteen seats. Lunch platters and a year of the app are included.

What you get
Come with your own horse, or watch every session from close by. Everyone eats together, and everyone goes home with the app.
With your own horse.
R1,500 the day

R600 the day

A rider’s year of the app is R2,490 on its own. The whole day, lunch included, is R1,500.
The day
A group clinic, and the work is one-on-one. Each rider has their own sessions with Ray, and everyone else watches and learns from them.

Ray reads each horse with its rider. Where the worry starts, what the first sign is, what your horse does just before the relaxation goes.

Lunch platters in the yard kitchen, and time to ask Ray anything: riders and auditors together.

The same horse, a little more asked. You do the work and Ray coaches you, so you leave knowing your next step at home.
Not a horse who never worries. A horse who worries, stays with you, and comes back down quickly.
Relaxation is at the base of the training scale. When it goes, rhythm and contact go with it. Resilience is how it comes back.
The young horse meeting the world, the schoolmaster who tightens in the warm-up, the horse who is lovely at home and someone else away from it.

Where
Malorix Stables in Hout Bay: a large indoor arena, so wind and rain change nothing on the day. Arrive at 8 to start at 8:30, and the day ends at 4. Directions and what to bring are sent in the clinic’s WhatsApp group once you have booked.
A special thank you to Monique Janssen, who owns Malorix Stables, designed it herself and spent a year and a half building it, for opening her yard and her arena to this clinic.
With thanks
From the last Cape Town clinic
Said on camera, and in the group that evening, after Ray’s Cape Town clinic of 26 September 2026.
It was wonderful to spend an entire day just both learning from doing but also learning from watching... I think he’s giving us the tools that we can practice when he’s not around.
Gina Participant, with Roman
One of the most important things that I learnt was just how Rynhardt shows you always to keep everything light... even when the horses get very up and busy and excited and triggered he just stayed super light and gentle the whole time and they just came right back down.
Siri Cape Town clinic
It was really worth it... it was also learning of other horses, because they’re all different, and how the handlers or riders or owners also do the techniques. So it was both from Rynhardt and the horses and the people. And the questions.
Bridget Cape Town clinic
I kind of thought when I saw this from afar that it’s not relevant to me because I’m like coming back into riding after 30 years... I can see the value for both her and me.

Who is teaching
Ray is a safari guide, a trainer and a farrier. Before the clinics there were years of riding horses among lions and elephants, where a horse that cannot settle is not an option. The same work keeps a horse with you past the judge’s box.
“I have known Reinhardt 12 years and have worked with him with wild elephants. He will literally blow you away... and you'll have to convince your horse to go back home with you.”
Alistair, who filmed the last clinic
How to book
Ride or watch. Tap its button. Booking for a friend too? Tap “Booking for two?” under the button, or choose how many people at the checkout.
Your name, email and phone number, then pay. The confirmation email is your ticket.
He puts you in the clinic’s WhatsApp group. Riders send their short video and their one question there.
Every level is welcome, from the young horse to Grand Prix. Resilience is the same question at every level: does your horse stay with you when something changes?
With a riding place you bring your own horse and have two one-on-one sessions with Ray. With a seat to watch you come without a horse, see every session up close, and ask your questions over lunch.
Arrive at 8 to start at 8:30. The day ends at 4. Lunch platters are in the yard kitchen.

Yes. Tap “Booking for two?” under the place you both want, or tap + beside "How many people?" at the checkout for each extra person. One payment books them all. No email for your friend to hand? Book anyway: Ray will ask.
Riders get the full Complete plan for a year: it is set up by itself when you pay, and an email brings the link. Auditors get the Rider plan for a year, set up the same way. After the year a rider can stay on at the Founder price of R99 a month. The voice assistant is in the app too, but it is not part of the free year: you pay only for what you use, with credits you buy in the app.
The refunds and cancellations policy sets it out. Message Ray as early as you can.
